Recently, Master\u2019s student Phan Ngoc Minh Thu – Faculty of Biomedical Engineering \u2013 has received a study promotion scholarship of more than 100 million VND from ITR VN Joint Stock Company. This is a special scholarship that the company exclusively awards to Biomedical Engineering major to support Master\u2019s students who are pursuing research in Biomedical Signal Processing.<\/strong><\/p>\n Thu is known to hold a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Science \u2013 Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, Thu is studying a Master’s program majoring in Biomedical Engineering at International University. Thu said \u201cBecoming a researcher is my dream, so that I can find new methods of diagnosis and treatment to improve human\u2019shealth. Therefore, I prepare a positive attitude to be ready to learn new knowledge. Especially, when studying and working in a challenging environment as that at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of International University, I hope to be able to perform my best”. On receiving the scholarship, Thu is very happy and will use all of the money to pay for her tuition fee as well as other study stipends in accordance with the strict requirements of the scholarship.<\/p>\n Dr. Ha Thi Thanh Huong – Lecturer of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering \u2013 shared about the student she is instructing: \u201cMinh Thu is a master\u2019s student majoring in Biomedical Engineering, currently doing research at the Brain Health Lab group. During the entrance interview, Minh Thu impressed the admissions committee with her academic ability and interest in Biomedical Engineering. With a research orientation on brain signal processing, Thu received a sponsored scholarship from ITR Vietnam. From the beginning of 2022, Thu has participated in two projects and has clearly demonstrated her ability to adapt to a new environment, teamwork, as well as research question orientation skills. Currently, Thu is learning about intervention methods for patients with mild cognitive impairment, with the aim of helping patients recover their cognitive ability.<\/p>\n With this special scholarship, Minh Thu\u2019s living expenses during her Master\u2019s program at IU will be covered by ITRVN company. In addition, Thu will be involved in researches and product development projects from Brain health lab, brain AI lab and ITRVN company. She will also be mentored and sponsored to participate in national and international conferences and write articles. Thu said: \u201cNot only being sponsored by the scholarship, but my research expenses will also be funded by my instructors. \n In order to support Master\u2019s students with orientation in Biomedical Signal Processing, ITR VN Joint Stock Company (web: https:\/\/itrvn.com\/) awards scholarships to excellent students graduating from majors in biomedical engineering, information technology, biotechnology (or related fields). Candidates must be admitted to a master’s program in the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, International University or one of the schools in VNU-HCM; and in the direction of signal processing research. During the scholarship period, the candidate must maintain good academic records (GPA > 7.5). In particular, as an important requirement, candidates must participate in research at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering under the guidance of Dr. Ngo Thi Lua and Dr. Ha Thi Thanh Huong. When receiving the scholarship, the candidate must graduate on time with a master’s degree and have an ISI\/Scopus paper as the first author during the period of the scholarship or no later than 6 months after the end of the scholarship.
