INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WON FIRST PRIZE AT SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE “APPLICATION OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF DISEASES”
INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WON FIRST PRIZE AT SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE “APPLICATION OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF DISEASES”
On May 31, 2024, two projects by International University students were awarded the First Prize and the Most Impressive Poster Award at the Scientific Conference “Application of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in Diagnosis and Treatment of Diseases,” organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Science and Technology Development Center in collaboration with Thong Nhat Hospital and Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
The project “Development and Testing of the Braintrain Cognitive Training Application for Patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)” by Phan Ngoc Minh Thu – a postgraduate student of the School of Biomedical Engineering and a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Scientists Association – was unanimously chosen by the council to receive this year’s First Prize. The project was also a collaboration between lecturers from the School of Biomedical Engineering, the School of Computer Science and Engineering of International University, AIoT Lab VN, and doctors of Hospital 175.
Phan Ngoc Minh Thu – a postgraduate student of the School of Biomedical Engineering and a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Scientists Association –carried out the project named “Development and Testing of the Braintrain Cognitive Training Application for Patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)” . The project was unanimously chosen by the council to receive this year’s First Prize at the conference.
Meanwhile, the project ACNE8M – An Artificial Intelligence System for Diagnosing Acne and Common Differential Diagnoses was carried out by Nguyen Phuc Khang, a student of the School of Computer Science and Engineering and a representative member of AIoT Lab VN. This project was a collaboration between lecturers of the School of Computer Science, AIoT Lab VN, and doctors from Hoan My Thu Duc International General Hospital, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, and Gia Dinh People’s Hospital.
Nguyen Phuc Khang – a student of the School of Computer Science and Engineering and a representative member of AIoT Lab VN – presented the project ACNE8M –An Artificial Intelligence System for Diagnosing Acne and Common Differential Diagnoses – and received the Most Impressive Poster Award at the Conference.
The Scientific Conference “Application of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in Diagnosis and Treatment of Diseases” attracted many experts from hospitals, universities, national and international academies, businesses, and research institutes, including 13 units from outside of HCMC.
